Gastrotheca megacephala Izecksohn, Carvalho-e-Silva, and Peixoto, 2009, Arq. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, 67: 83. Holotype: ZUFRJ 7223, by original designation. Type locality: "BRASIL: Espírito Santo: Guarapari, restinga da Lagoa do Milho (20° 36′ S; 40° 25′ W)".
