Colostethus toachi Coloma, 1995, Misc. Publ. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 87: 52. Holotype: QCAZ 1437, by original designation. Type locality: "Finca Gloria, 15 km NW Alluriquín (5 km NW of La Florida), 0° 15′ S, 79° 01′ W, 950 m, Provincia Pichincha, Ecuador".
