Hyloxalus felixcoperari Acosta-Galvis and Vargas-Ramírez, 2018, Vert. Zool., Senckenberg, 68: 129. Holotype: IAvH-Am-14538, by original designation. Type locality: "Finca La Nube, Natural Private Reserve Paso de Nubes, Vereda La Laja, San Francisco Municipality, Cundinamarca Department, Colombia, 4° 56′ 22.1″ N / 74° 14′48.8″ W. Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Natural Private Reserve Paso de Nubes, 2500–2577 m elevation, Cundinamarca, Colombia) in an Andean cloud forest fragment located on the western slope of the Cordillera Oriental of Colombia.

Comment

A member of the Hyloxalus subpunctatus clade, and the sister taxon of Hyloxalus subpunctatus, according to the original publication where the phylogeny of the group, the call, and general natural history were detailed.
