Comment

Pyron and Wiens, 2011, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 61: 543–583, confirmed the sister taxon relationship of Silverstoneia and Epipedobates. Köhler, 2011, Amph. Cent. Am.: 138–139, provided a key to the species of Silverstoneia in Central America and provided maps and photographs of the species. Dias, Anganoy-Criollo, Rada, and Grant, 2021, J. Zool. Syst. Evol. Res., 59: 691–717, reported on larval external, internal, and buccal anatomy.
