Colostethus fraterdanieli Silverstone, 1971, Contrib. Sci. Nat. Hist. Mus. Los Angeles Co., 215: 4. Holotype: LACM 44164, by original designation. Type locality: "Colombia: Antioquia: Santa Rita (near Río Nare), 1890-1910 m".

Santa Rita Rocket Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 48).

Distribution

Mid to high elevations,1600–2500 m, on the northern Central Cordillera in Antioquia, Colombia, with closely related, but unnamed species found on the western slopes of the Cordillera Central and from both the western and eastern sides of the Cordillera Occidental, 650–2500 m elevation, Colombia (Departments of Valle del Cauca, Huila, Quindio, Risaralda, Antioquia, Nariño, Tolima, Valle del Cauda, and Caldas).
