Platymantis adiastola Brown, Richards, Sukumaran, and Foufopoulos, 2006, Zootaxa, 1334: 50. Holotype: SAMA R61906, by original designation. Type locality: "Wanui Camp, Wanui River Valley (near Wide Bay), 310 m above sea level (05° 21.638′ S, 152° 05.266′ E), New Britain Isl., East New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea".
