Distribution

Submontane Cameroon on Mt. Nlonako, Mt. Manengouba, and Mt. Kala, as well as possibly on the southern and western slopes of the Bamiléké Plateau and Obudu Plateau.

Comment

In a privately circulated "List provisoire des amphibiens anoures du Cameroun" J.-L. Amiet suggested that this is a subspecies of Werneria preussi. Rödel, Schmitz, Pauwels, and Böhme, 2004, Zootaxa, 720: 1-28, discussed confusion with other species.
