PEM A833 (formerly AMG 4044) designated lectotype by Conradie, Branch, and Watson, 2015, Zootaxa, 3936: 53. Type locality: "Amatola Range, near Hogsback, . . . . on the summit of the range at about 5,500 feet", Eastern Cape Province, Rep. South Africa.

Distribution

Moist upland grasslands in the Winterberg--Amatola Escarpment, Eastern Cape Province, Rep. South Africa, 1400-1800 m elevation.
