Extreme southern peninsular Thailand, Malaya, Borneo, and Sumatra.

Comment

This genus was named in the original publication (Chan, Grismer, Zachariah, Brown, and Abraham, 2016, PLoS One, 11(1: e0145903): 1–13) to resolve the polyphyly of Pedostibes, placing former species of Pedostibes, Pedostibes hosii, Pedostibes rugosus, and provisionally, Pedostibes everettii into the new genus, which was estimated on the basis of a maximum-likelihood tree to be the sister taxon of Phrynoidis, while Pedostibes sensu stricto, is the sister taxon of a clade composed of Duttphrynus, Xanthophryne, and Adenomus.
