Bufo florentinoi Moreno and Rivalta González, 2007, Solenodon, 6: 61. Holotype: CZACC 14.3085, by original designation. Type locality: "Gironcito, Playa Girón, Península de Zapata, provincia Matanzas, 224′ 9.62″ N y 811′ 10.81″ W", Cuba.

Distribution

Eastern Cuba from the western part of Pinar del Rio Province east to east-central Matanzas Province, Cuboa. 

Comment

In the Bufo peltocephalus group according to the original publication; in Peltophryne, therefore, by implication. Díaz and Cádiz, 2008, Guía Taxon. Anf. Cuba: 1-294, provided an account, as Bufo florentinoiHenderson and Powell, 2009, Nat. Hist. Rept. Amph. W. Indies: 27, summarized the natural history literature (as Bufo florentinoi). Rivalta González, Rodríguez Schettino, Mancina, and Iturriaga, 2014, Smithson. Herpetol. Inform. Serv., 145: 7, provided a dot map and localities.
