Osornophryne guacamayo Hoogmoed, 1987, Zool. Meded., Leiden, 61: 227. Holotype: MHNG 2278.17, by original designation. Type locality: "'Guacamayo' (= Cordillera de Guacamayo or Huacamayos), 2100 m, km 60 on road Tena–Quito (0°43′S, 77°50′W), Napo Province, Ecuador".

Distribution

East-central foothills of the Andes of Ecuador (Tungurahua Province) north to the Municipio de Santiago, Putumayo, Colombia, 2100–3500 m elevation. See comment.

Cienc. Ingen., Quito, Secc. B,, 2 (3): 47. See note by Guayasamin and Funk, 2009, Zootaxa, 2220: 41-66, on this species at the Yanayacu Biological Station, Napo, Ecuador.
