Mount Kenya, the Kinangop Plateau, and the highlands around Nairobi, Kenya. See comment. 

Comment

In the Bufo taitanus complex of Tandy and Keith, 1972, in Blair (ed.), Evol. Genus Bufo: 156. Removed from the synonymy of Bufo lonnbergi by Poynton, 1997, Afr. J. Herpetol., 46: 98-102, where it had been placed by Grandison, 1972, Zool. Meded., Leiden, 47: 34, and Tandy and Keith, 1972, in Blair (ed.), Evol. Genus Bufo: 156. Channing and Howell, 2006, Amph. E. Afr.: 86-87, provided an account (as Bufo mocquardi).  Marques, Ceríaco, Blackburn, and Bauer, 2018, Proc. California Acad. Sci., Ser. 4, 65 (Suppl. II): 62–64, provided a map for Mertensophryne aff. mocquardi for Angola and discussed the literature.
