Atelopus oxapampae Lehr, Lötters, and Lundberg, 2008, Herpetologica, 64: 370. Holotype: MUSM 19875, by original designation. Type locality: "km 34 at 1770 m elevation on Oxapampa-Yaupi road, Distrito de Chontabamba, Provincia de Pasco, Departamento de Pasco, Peru (10° 44′ 44.4″ S, 75° 30′ 02.2″ W)".

Distribution
Known from three cloudforest localities in the Department of Pasco, central Peru, at elevations of 1770-2200 m, all within a distance of 26 kilometers
Comment
Most closely related to Atelopus tricolor and an unnamed species from the Departamento de Cusco, Peru, according to the original publication.
