Type locality: "Colombia, Departamento del Magdalena, Municipio de Santa Marta, vertiente SE de la Cuchilla de San Lorenzo, al SW de la estación Forestal de San Lorenzo, sector NW Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, ca. 11° 11′ latitud N, 74° 3′ longitud W de Greenwich, 1900 m."
