Eleutherodactylus (Euhyas) feichtingeri Díaz, Hedges, and Schmid, 2012, Zootaxa, 3220: 46. Holotype: MNHNCU 1181, by original designation. Type locality: "Paso de Lesca (21° 35′ 26″ N, 77° 47′21″ W), on the southern slope of Sierra de Cubitas, municipality of Cubitas, Camagüey province", Cuba.

English Names

Eastern Cuba Grassfrog (Hedges, Powell, Henderson, Hanson, and Murphy, 2019, Caribb. Herpetol., 67: 10). 

Distribution

Central and eastern Cuba in isolated populations from central Sancti Spiritus Province and adjacent northern islands south and east throughout the island.

Comment

In the Eleutherdactylus (Euhyas) gundlachi species group, Eleutherodactylus planirostris species series and confused with Eleutherodactylus varleyi prior to its description, according to the original publication, where the external morphology and advertisement call was described. In the Eleutherodactylus (Euhyas) planirostris species series, Eleutherodactylus gundlachi species group of Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 131. Rivalta González, Rodríguez Schettino, Mancina, and Iturriaga, 2014, Smithson. Herpetol. Inform. Serv., 145: 24, provided a dot map and localities. Rodriguez, Börner, Pabijan, Gehara, Haddad, and Vences, 2015, Evol. Ecol., 29: 765–785 (and supplemental data), reported on phylogeographic diversity and its causes.
