Oreobates barituensis Vaira and Ferrari, 2008, Zootaxa, 1908: 57. Holotype: FML 21079, by original designation. Type locality: Baritú, Departamento Santa Victoria, Provincia Salta, Argentina (22° 29′ 58,53″ S 64°; 45′ 40,83″ W, 1100 m above sea level)".

None noted.

Distribution

Known from several localities in Salta Province (Santa Victoria and Orán departments) and from one locality in Valle Grande Department , Jujuy Province in northwestern Argentina at elevations of 1100-1300 m; possibly to be found in adjacent Bolivia.

Comment

Similar to Oreobates discoidalis, Oreobates ibischi, and Oreobates cruralis according to the original publication. Akmentins and Vaira, 2009, Check List, 5: 216-217, reported the first specimens from Jujuy Province, Argentina, and discussed the range.
