Oreobates antrum Vaz-Silva, Maciel, Andrade, and Amaro, 2018, Zootaxa, 4441: 93. Holotype: MNRJ 91628, by original designation. Type locality: "São Domingos municipality, in the complex of caves belonging to farm 'Baraunax', an adjacent area to the municipality of Divinópolis de Goiás (13°22’17″S, 46°23’50″W, WGS84, 638m a.s.l.), State of Goiás, Brazil". Comment

The sister taxon of Oreobates remotus, with which it was previously confused, according to the original publication. Vaz-Silva, Maciel, Nomura, Morais, Guerra Batista, Santos, Andrade, Oliveira, Brandão, and Bastos, 2020, Guia Ident. Anf. Goiás e Dist. Fed. Brasil Central: 35, provided an account. Motta, Lyra, Gazoni, Parise-Maltempi, and Haddad, 2020, Herpetol. Notes, 13: 561–563, provided new records from the state of Goiás and Tocantíns, Brazil, and mapped the species.
