Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Sardinayacu Lake Complex, Cantón Morona, Parroquia Sinaí, Morona-Santiago, Ecuador), 1647 to 1916 m elevation.
Comment
Batallas-R. and Brito, 2016, Rev. Mexicana Biodiversidad, 87: 1292–1300, reported on vocalizations from Sangay National Park, southeastern Ecuador.
