Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Provincia Inquisivi, Departamento La Paz, Bolivia).

Comment

Most closely related to members of the Phrynopus peruanus group according to the original publication. De la Riva, 2007, Herpetol. Monogr., 21: 268-269, provided an account.
