Distribution

Eastern versant of the Merida Andes in the states of Barinas, Táchira, and Portuguesa, Venezuela, 800–1600 m elevation; likely into adjacent Colombia.

Comment

In Pristimantis (sensu Heinicke, Duellman, and Hedges, 2007, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, 104: 10092-97) by implication, although not mentioned by those authors in their Table 2 (supplemental data). In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 128.
