Forests on the western slopes of the Cordillera Occidental of Colombia (departments of Antioquia, Choco, Risaralda, and Valle del Cauca), 50–1500 m elevation.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group by implication of the original publication, most similar to Eleutherodactylus cruentus and Eleutherodactylus latidiscus. In the Pristimantis (Hypodictyon) ridens species series of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 114, and in the Pristimantis ridens species group of Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 126.
