Distribution

Elevations of 1180-2750 m on the Amazonian slopes of the southern part of the Cordillera Oriental in the departments of Cusco and Puno, Peru, and southeastward at elevation of 1696–2040 in the Department of Cochabamba, Bolivia.

Removed from the synonym of Pristimantis rhabdolaemus by Duellman and Lehr, 2009, Terrest.-breeding Frogs in Peru: 215-216, where it had been placed by Lynch and McDiarmid, 1987, Proc. Biol. Soc.
