Amazonian Ecuador and one record in northeastern Peru.

In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 128. Wray, Graham, Torres Pacaya, Bartlett, and Ishimatsu, 2015, Herpetol. Rev., 46: 213, provided a record from the Santa Cruz Forest Reserve, Provincia Maynas, Departament de Loreto, Peru, 100 m elevation.
