Pristimantis latericius Batallas-Revelo and Brito-M., 2014, Pap. Avulsos Zool., São Paulo, 54: 53. Holotype: MEPN 15135, by original designation. Type locality: "Tinguichaca, Parque Nacional Sangay (78° 26’ 42.14” O, 02° 13’ 48.72” S, 2750 m), parroquia Zuñac, cantón Morona, provincia de Morona Santiago, República del Ecuador".

Orange Robber Frog of Tinguichaca (original publication). 

Distribution

Known only from vicinity of the type locality in Parque Nacional Sangay, Morona-Santiago, Ecuador, 2300 to 2700 m elevation.

Comment

Assigned tentatively to the Pristimantis lacrimosus species group according to the original publication. Included in the Pristimantis lacrimosus species group of Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 126. Brito-M., Batallas-Revelo, and Yánez-Muñoz, 2017, Neotropical Biodiversity, 3: 125–156, provided a record from Morona Santiago, Ecuador and brief natural history notes.
