Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group by implication of the original publication, where it was also noted that this taxon had previously been confused with Eleutherodactylus calcaratus. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as Eleutherodactylus kelephas) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 351. García-R., Mendoza, Ospina, Cárdenas-Henao, and Castro-Herrera, 2014, J. Herpetol., 48: 220–227, compared this species with two species with which this species has been confused, Pristimantis calcaratus and Pristimantis jubatus, both with molecular evidence and morphometrics.
