Distribution

Subpáramo and cloud forests at 2470–3100 m elevation on the Amazonian slopes of the eastern Andean Cordillera of southern Ecuador and the ridges north of the Cuenca de Loja; vicinity of El Tambo (2770–2820 m) on the western slope of the Cordillera Huancabamba in Piura Province, Peru. See comment.
