Colostethus oblitteratus Rivero, 1984, Brenesia, 22: 51-56. Holotype: UPRM 3492, by original designation. Type locality: "Carretera de Sta. Teresa a Higuerote, 10 km hacia abajo del cruce Sta. Teresa-Altagracia, 150 m, Edo. Miranda, Venezuela".

Colostethus guatopoensis Dixon and Rivero-Blanco, 1985, J. Herpetol., 19: 177-184. Holotype: TCWC 61386, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada Guatopo, Serranía del Interior, 25.2 km N, 1 km W Altagracia de Orituco, 736 m, Estado Guarico, Venezuela". Synonymy by Rivero, 1990 "1988", Mem. Soc. Cienc. Nat. La Salle, 48: 19; Myers, Paolillo-O., and Daly, 1991, Am. Mus. Novit., 3002: 20.

Distribution

Known only from the region of the type locality in the states of Miranda and Guarico, Venezuela, in the central part of the coastal range.
