Colostethus littoralis Péfaur, 1984, J. Herpetol., 18: 492. Holotype: ULAM IV-2505, by original designation. Type locality: "Chorillos, [Departamento de] Lima, Perú, 5 m . . . in a small pond found in front of the beach of the Pacific Ocean".

Lima, Departamento Lima, Peru, at sea level (population likely extinct) and the Departmentos of Ancash and Huánuco, Peru, 665-2800 m elevation.
