Colostethus faciopunctulatus Rivero, 1991, Breviora, 493: 23. Holotype: MCZ 94751, by original designation. Type locality: "Puerto Nariño (3° 46′ N, 71° 23′ W, 15 km W. of Leticia), Departamento Amazonas, Colombia".

English Names

Puerto Narino Rocket Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 48).

Distribution

Known only from the type localiy (Puerto Nariño), Departamento Amazonas, Colombia, 40-150 m elevation, put likely to be found in adjacent Peru and Brazil.

Comment

Páez-Vacas, Coloma, and Santos, 2010, Zootaxa, 2711: 1-75, considered this species to be part of the Hyloxalus bocagei complex and (p. 27-31) provided an account.
