Mannophryne leonardoi Manzanilla, La Marca, Jowers, Sánchez, and García-París, 2007 "2005", Herpetotropicos, Mérida, 2: 106. Holotype: EBRG 4899, by original designation. Type locality: "en el caserío El Toyano, Parroquía Pozuelos, Municipio Sotillo, Estado Anzoátegui, Venezuela 10° 07′ 30.7 N; 64° 29′ 35.7 W, a 875 m de elevacion".
