Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 87: 21. Type locality: "in Ecuador; ad sylvas pagi S. Jose de Moti", Cantón de Quijos, Napo Province, Ecuador. Páez-Vacas, Coloma, and Santos, 2010, Zootaxa, 2711: 26, noted that the original type locality cannot be located and other aspects render this locality ambiguous.
