Colostethus serranus Péfaur, 1985, J. Herpetol., 19: 324. Holotype: CVULA IV-2847, by original designation. Type locality: "via El Morro, Distrito Libertador, Estado Mérida, Venezuela, 2300 m".

Pefaur's Rocket Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 49).

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Via El Morro, Distrito Libertador, Mérida, Venezuela), at 1800-2300 m elevation.
