Comment

Barrio-Amorós, 2004, Rev. Ecol. Latino Am., 9: 8, reported on distribution and relevant literature. See map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as Nephelobates orostoma) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 236. Barrio-Amorós and Santos, 2012, Zootaxa, 3422: 24, suggested that the type material of Colostethus orostoma requires additional examination to confirm its status.
