Colostethus agilis Lynch and Ruiz-Carranza, 1985, Lozania, 54: 2. Holotype: ICN 7618, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada Sopladero, límite inferior del Parque Nacional de Munchique, 33 km por carretera al NNW de Uribe, Municipio de El Tambo, Departamento del Cauca, Colombia, alture 2190 m.s.n.m."

English Names

Cauca Rocket Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 48).

Distribution

Pacific slopes of the Cordillera Occidental at elevations of 2190-2600 m in the departments of Cauca and Valle del Cauca, Colombia.

Comment

Rivero and Almendáriz, 1992 "1991", Politecnica, Quito, 16: 115, thought this species might extend into Ecuador. See statement of geographic range, habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 613.
