Thoropa lutzi Cochran, 1938, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 51: 41. Holotype: USNM 97622, by original designation. Type locality: "Recreio dos Bandeirantes, Federal District, southwest of the city of Rio de Janeiro", Brazil.
