Ceratophrys ohausi Wandolleck, 1907, Abh. Ber. Zool. Anthropol. Ethnograph. Mus. Dresden, 11: 10. Holotype: MTD D2038, destroyed according to Obst, 1977, Zool. Abh. Staatl. Mus. Tierkd. Dresden, 34: 173. Type locality: "Urwäldern von Petropolis", Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Cyclorhamphus distinctus Lutz, 1932, Mem. Oswaldo Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, 26: 71, 74. Syntypes: IOC, now in now MNRJ; AL-MNRJ 2180 designated lectotype by Heyer, 1983, Arq. Zool., São Paulo, 30: 313. Type locality: "perto de petropolis a cerca de 800 m de altitude" (p. 72) and "not far from Petropolis, at about 800 meters over sea level" (p. 75), Brazil. Synonymy by Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 31.
