Type locality: "Serra da Bocaina", Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil; given as Bonito, Serra da Bocaina, boundary of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo [Brazil] by Cochran, 1955 "1954", Bull. U.S. Natl. Mus., 206: 261).
