Iliodiscus eleutherodactylus Miranda-Ribeiro, 1920, Rev. Mus. Paulista, São Paulo, 12: 270. Syntypes: MZUSP 20 (1 specimen), 24 (21 specimens), 572 (1 specimen), 816 (1 specimen), 835 (1 specimen); MZUSP 24x designated lectotype by Bokermann, 1951, Arq. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, 42: 87. Type locality: "Alto da Serra—São Paulo" and "Rio Grande—São Paulo", Brazil; lectotype from "Alto da Serra—São Paulo", Brazil.

Cyclorhamphus eleutherodactylus — Brazil and Vellard, 1926, Mem. Inst. Butantan, São Paulo, 3: 43.

Cyclorhamphus eleutherodactylus var. variegata Lutz, 1929, Mem. Oswaldo Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, 22: 12. Types: Not designated, presumably originally in Lutz collection or IOC, which would now be in the MNRJ. Type locality: Not specifically designated but Gorham, 1966, Das Tierreich, 85: 47, considered it to be Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, and Serra da Bocaina on the Rio de Janeiro/São Paulo boundary, Brazil. Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 32, stated the type localities to be "Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, Gauanabara; Paranapiacaba (= Serra de Cubatão), São Paulo e Serra da Bocaina, São Paulo", Brazil.

Cyclorhamphus eleutherodactylus var. strigilata Lutz, 1929, Mem. Oswaldo Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, 22: 13. Types: Not designated; presumably originally in the Lutz collection and now at the MNRJ. Type locality not specifically designated but Gorham, 1966, Das Tierreich, 85: 47, considered it to be Alto da Serra, São Paulo, Brazil and Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 32, stated it to be "Via Anchieta, Cubatão (= Estrada Nova de São Paulo a Santos) São Paulo", Brazil.
