Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 32, stated the type localities to be "Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, Gauanabara; Paranapiacaba (= Serra de Cubatão), São Paulo e Serra da Bocaina, São Paulo", Brazil.
