Eleutherodactylus taciturnus Lynch and Suárez-Mayorga, 2003, Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Exact. Fis. Nat., 27: 610. Holotype: ICN 11688, by original designation. Type locality: "COLOMBIA, Departamento de Cauca: Municipio de Inzá, vereda Rio Sucio, Km 66-67 (near where the road cross the Río Sucio) carretera Popayán--Inzá, 2660-70 m.s.n.m."

Distribution

High Andean forest (2400-2670 m elevation) in the vicinity of the type locality (Municipio de Inzá, Departamento de Cauca, Colombia).

Comment

Most similar and likely closely related to Eleutherodactylus spinosus according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128.
