Colostethus praderioi La Marca, 1997 "1996", Publ. Asoc. Amigos Doñana, 9: 32. Holotype: ULABG 4196, by original designation. Type locality: "Monte Roraima, tercera quebrada a partir de la base (5° 10′ N y 60° 47′ W), Parque nacional Canaima, Sector Oriental (Gran Sabana), Estado Bolívar, Venezuela, 1950 m s.n.m."

Distribution
Known only from the vicinity of the type locality on Mount Roraima, Estado Bolívar, Venezuela, 1800-1950 m elevation.
Comment
Barrio-Amorós, 2004, Rev. Ecol. Latino Am., 9: 8, reported on distribution and relevant literature. Kok, Pap. Avulsos Zool., São Paulo, 50: 51-68, redesribed the holotype and described the call and larva.
