Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the state of Aragua, Venezuela.

In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) conspicillatus series, unassigned to species group according to Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 233. See account by Rivero, 1961, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 126: 66-68. In the subgenus Pristimantis, but unnassigned to species group by Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 118.
