Known only from the type locality and 42 km east of the type locality in disturbed cloud forest in the northern part of the Cordillera Central in the Department of Amazonas, Peru; and in adjacent Ecuador in the provinces of Zamora Chinchipe and Caņar in montane cloud forest.
