Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) rufioculis Duellman and Pramuk, 1999, Sci. Pap. Nat. Hist. Mus. Univ. Kansas, 13: 64. Holotype: KU 212313, by original designation. Type locality: "east slope of Abra Pardo de Miguel, 2180 m, 1080 m, Provincia Rioja, Departamento San Martín, Peru".

Distribution
Known only from the type locality at 2180 m elevation on the eastern slopes of the northern part of the Cordillera Central and from 1138 m and 1750 m on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera del Condor, Peru.
