Eleutherodactylus rosadoi Flores, 1988, J. Herpetol., 22: 34. Holotype: MCZ 92937, by original designation. Type locality: "Río San Miguel, circa 1 km above Río Capayas, Provincia Esmeraldas, Ecuador (latitude 0°45′N, longitude 78°54′W)".

Low elevations in northwestern Ecuador and adjacent Nariño Department, Colombia; Isla Gorgona, Colombia.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus crucifer assembly of the Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group, according to the original publication. See account by Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 129-130, who place it in the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) martinicensis series, Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group. In the Pristimantis (Hypodictyon) ridens species series of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 114. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as Eleutherodactylus rosadoi) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 375. Ortega-Andrade, Bermingham, Aulestia, and Paucar, 2010, Check List, 6: 122, reported the species in Esmeraldas Province, northwestern Ecuador.
