Eleutherodactylus riveroi Lynch and La Marca, 1993, Caribb. J. Sci., 29: 142. Holotype: AMNH 70599, by original designation. Type locality: "Rancho Grande, Estado Aragua, Venezuela".

English Names

Rivero's Robber Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 78).

Distribution

Known only from the region of the type locality in the Serranía del Litoral, Aragua, Venezuela, at about 1100 m elevation.

Comment

Similar to Eleutherodactylus bicumulus according to the original publication. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) martinicensis series, Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group according to Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 231.
