Eleutherodactylus reticulatus Walker and Test, 1955, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 561: 4. Holotype: UMMZ 109872, by original designation. Type locality: "slope of Pico Periquito +/-1275 m., Rancho Grande, Estado Aragua, Venezuela".

In the subgenus Pristimantis, but unnassigned to species group by Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 118.
