Hylodes platydactylus Boulenger, 1903, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 7, 12: 554. Syntypes: BMNH 1902.11.28.11-13, 1903.6.30.8-10; BMNH 1947.2.15.92 designated lectotype by Köhler and Lötters, 1999, Copeia, 1999: 426. Type locality: "Santo Domingo, Carabaya, S.E. Peru, 6000 feet".

Hylodes platidactylus — Peracca, 1904, Boll. Mus. Zool. Anat. Comp. Univ. Torino, 19 (465): 29. Incorrect subsequent spelling.

Eleutherodactylus platydactylus — Stejneger, 1904, Annu. Rep. U.S. Natl. Mus. for 1902: 582-583. by implication; Gorham, 1966, Das Tierreich, 85: 92.

Eleutherodactylus bockermanni Donoso-Barros, 1970, Bol. Soc. Biol. Concepción, 42: 17. Holotype: R. Donoso-Barros 000765 (now IZUC), by original designation. Type locality: "Runerrabaque [= Rurrenabaque], Río Bení, Bení, Bolivia". Synonymy by De la Riva, 1998 "1997", Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 11: 71, who considered the stated type locality doubtful.

Distribution

Southeastern Peru (Departmenst of Pasco and Ayacucho) to central Bolivia (Department of Santa Cruz) in cloud forest, 1000-3470 m elevation.
