Eleutherodactylus pharangobates Duellman, 1978, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 91: 426. Holotype: KU 173236, by original designation. Type locality: "Buenos Aires, 2400 m, Departamento Cuzco, Perú (13° 07′ S; 71° 28′ W)".

Pristimantis (Pristimantis) pharangobates — Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 126.

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Elevations of 1180-2750 m on the Amazonian slopes of the southern part of the Cordillera Oriental in the departments of Cusco and Puno, Peru, and southeastward at elevation of 1696-2040 in the Department of Cochabamba, Bolivia.

Comment

Removed from the synonym of Pristimantis rhabdolaemus by Duellman and Lehr, 2009, Terrest.-breeding Frogs in Peru: 215-216, where it had been placed by Lynch and McDiarmid, 1987, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 100: 337-346. See comment under Pristimantis rhabdolaemus.
