Eleutherodactylus pedimontanus La Marca, 2004, Herpetotropicos, Mérida, 1: 1. Holotype: ULABG 3221, by original designation. Type locality: "VENEZUELA, ESTADO TáCHIRA, Municipio San Cristóbal: Parque Nacional Chorro del Indio, 16.5 Km. En la carretera San Cristóbal-Macanilla, aproximadamento a 8 Km. SE San Cristóbal, 1250 m.s.n.m."

Distribution

Cloud forests along the southern versant of the Cordillera de Mérida from the state of Táchira to the state of Lara, in northwestern Venezuela.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus conspicillatus group and previous confused with Eleutherodactylus briceni according to the original publication. See comment under Mucubatrachus briceni. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) conspicillatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 120.
