Eleutherodactylus pastazensis Andersson, 1945, Ark. Zool., 37A(2): 37. Syntypes: NHRM 1918 (2 specimens) by original indication; the larger specimen designated the lectotype by Lynch and Duellman, 1980, Misc. Publ. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 69: 46. Type locality: "Yauguilla" (= Yungilla) and "mount Tungura [= Mount Tungurahua], 1840 m above the sea level", eastern Ecuador; restricted to Yauguilla, Provincia Tungurahua, Ecuador, by lectotype designation.
